"By definition, the transition state is the transitory of molecular structure in which the molecule is no longer a substrate but not yet a product." - Wikipedia

Going above the scientific definition, this phrase more so signifies to me a period of time in which we are between two eras. This is a period of time where we're expecting big changes in life (or career, relationships, etc) but are stuck in a sort of "limbo" where life doesn't feel like the previous steady state, but isn't quite in its' new state. This can often be a struggle to get through, but I know it's something we can overcome.
